Punjab schools to reopen on April 1st - check details
Educational institutions across Punjab will reopen in April, returning to a normal five-day school week.
Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat clarified that there are no plans to adopt hybrid models like three- or four-day school weeks. He emphasized that the government wants to maintain a consistent academic routine for students.
The minister also said that 246 matriculation exam centers are being monitored with CCTV cameras to ensure transparency and proper supervision during exams.
Looking ahead, adjustments are being made to the academic calendar to give students more preparation time for next year’s exams.
Earlier, the provincial government had closed all schools from March 10 to 31 to ease economic pressure caused by rising petroleum prices linked to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
