Matric papers scheduled for April 10 postponed
RAWALPINDI: Matriculation examinations scheduled for 10 April have been postponed across Rawalpindi city, citing authorities.
The decision was made on the instructions of Commissioner and Board Chairman Engineer Aamir Khattak, affecting all 64 exam centres in the city. The postponed papers include Compulsory Urdu and Pakistan Geography. Exams in other districts of Rawalpindi Division will continue as planned. New dates for the postponed papers will be announced later.
The move follows a two-day public holiday declared by the Islamabad administration ahead of upcoming US-Iran talks in the federal capital. Thursday and Friday have been designated as local holidays in the Islamabad Capital Territory.
While the holiday affects general administration and educational activities, essential services such as hospitals will continue to operate. Citizens have been advised to plan accordingly.
Officials said the coordination between educational authorities and the administration ensures smooth conduct of important diplomatic engagements while considering the academic schedule.
