Renowned Pakistani actress Mahira Khan became visibly emotional in Dubai as her co-star Fawad Khan opened up about the challenges he faced in both his personal and professional life.
In a media interview, Fawad Khan said, “I have seen a lot of love and success, but perhaps I failed to show it. In recent years, there have been ups and downs that are no secret.” He expressed gratitude to those who stood by him, stating, “I am deeply impressed by the few people who supported me, you are still with me, thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Hearing these heartfelt words, Mahira Khan also got teary-eyed, saying, “I cannot say much, but I can say that this has been our most challenging film, especially for you, Fawad.”
Fawad further shared that restarting the film after the COVID-19 pandemic felt nearly impossible, but seeing the final cut made every struggle worthwhile.
Mahira clarified that her emotions were not meant to evoke pity or offer advice, explaining, “If watching Nilofar only makes you feel sympathy, then I haven’t done my job properly.”
The emotional exchange was captured on video and quickly went viral, resonating with fans. The duo, who first gained fame through the popular drama Hum Safar, are now set to release their new film Nilofar in the United Arab Emirates on November 28.
