Dharmendra Makes Comeback in ‘Ikkis’ as Agastya’s Father
Veteran actor Dharmendra is set for an emotional comeback to cinema with Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming film Ikkis. The 89-year-old legend will portray the father of 21-year-old war hero Arun Khetarpal, played by Agastya Nanda, marking his first major on-screen appearance since recovering from a recent health issue.
Scheduled to release in theatres on December 25, 2025, Ikkis narrates the inspiring true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. He embraced martyrdom at the age of 21 during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, leaving behind a legacy of courage and patriotism.
Maddock Films heightened anticipation by sharing a powerful poster of Dharmendra on Instagram with the caption, “Fathers raise sons. Legends raise nations. countries. Dharmendra ji, an emotional powerhouse as the father of a 21- year- old immortal soldier. One timeless legend brings us the story of another.”
Dharmendra’s participation has generated immense excitement among fans, who look forward to seeing his depth and experience enhance the film’s emotional narrative.
Agastya Nanda, who made his acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies, takes on the challenging role of Arun Khetarpal, bringing to life the bravery and sacrifice of the young soldier.

The film boasts a strong supporting cast, including Jaideep Ahlawat and Sikander Kher, adding further weight to the project.
