Salman Khan Found It Hard to Host ‘Bigg Boss’ After Dharmendra's Death
Salman Khan made a strong emotional impact on viewers during the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19, where he delivered a heartfelt tribute to the late Dharmendra. The actor, who shared a close personal connection with the legendary star, spoke candidly about the deep void left by his passing.
During the episode, Salman reflected on the magnitude of the loss, noting that Dharmendra’s absence would be profoundly felt across the film fraternity. Speaking in a somber tone, he said, “The country has suffered a huge blow. The fans have suffered a huge blow. The industry has suffered a huge loss and shock. I guess you’re thinking I’m talking about someone.”
The Kick actor admitted that despite the show’s demanding schedule, hosting felt unusually difficult for him following Dharmendra’s demise. He added, “Anyway, God bless his soul. I wish I were not hosting Bigg Boss this week, but life goes on.”
Dharmendra, one of Indian cinema’s most iconic figures, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 89 on November 24, 2025, leaving colleagues, fans, and the entire industry in deep mourning.
