Popular actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh has sparked concern among fans after a video from his recent concert in Calgary, Canada, went viral on social media.

The performance, held at the Scotiabank Saddledome as part of his Aura World Tour, featured an emotional moment where the artist addressed the audience with a deeply reflective statement.

During the interaction, he said, “I have already left this world. I don’t have any fear of death. Last December, I was trying to get out of this body. But now I still have to do a few more things before I leave this body. There is nothing to be afraid of. This is not just a matter of Punjab; it is and will always be. I have already left this world; this is the truth. I am standing on this stage, and this is my God.”

The clip quickly gained traction online, prompting mixed reactions from fans. While some questioned the context behind his words, others expressed genuine concern over his mental well-being.

One social media user wrote, “I had nooo idea that he was getting hate nonstop? I thought he was super liked. Why?” Another commented, “Unfortunate how people troll this. Avicii, Chester Bennington, Amy Winehouse, Sushant Singh Rajput – so many were lost when they were at the peak of their career. As someone who has battled severe depression while doing exceptionally well in my career, I can attest how hard it feels to get out of bed. I really hope Indians start taking mental health seriously instead of trolling and making it worse.”

Diljit Dosanjh has emerged as a global icon, with his music and performances reaching audiences far beyond India. Recently, he made history by becoming the first Indian artist to sell out a stadium show in Sydney, further solidifying his international appeal.

The Calgary concert reportedly drew around 30,000 fans, with ticket prices reaching up to $800. Many attendees celebrated the artist’s influence, with some even recreating his iconic look from the 2025 Met Gala as a tribute.

Despite the viral moment, fans continue to show support for the star while also urging greater awareness and sensitivity around mental health discussions in the entertainment industry.
