Forza Horizon 6 hits huge milestone after launch

Microsoft and Playground Games’ Forza Horizon 6 has reached a major milestone, crossing over 6 million players within just one week of its early access release.

The game first launched in early access on May 15 for Premium Edition owners. It then became fully available on May 19 for standard edition buyers and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate users. Soon after the full release, Playground Games confirmed the 6 million player mark.

Strong Performance on Steam

The game has also seen impressive numbers on Steam. At launch, it recorded over 270,000 concurrent players, and later reached a peak of around 284,139 players, according to Steam tracking data.

This performance is much higher than previous entries in the series. Earlier titles like Forza Horizon 5 and Forza Horizon 4 peaked at around 80,000 and 75,000 players respectively on Steam.

Record Early Access Launch

Xbox officials have called it the biggest early access launch in the franchise’s history. During early access alone, the game already attracted over 170,000 concurrent players.

The Premium Edition saw steady growth before the standard launch pushed player numbers even higher. The game has also become one of the top-selling titles globally on Steam.

Strong Reviews from Critics

The game has received very positive reviews. It currently holds a Metascore of 91, with most critic reviews rated highly.

Reviewers praised it as one of the most polished entries in the series, with improved gameplay and visuals.

Japan Setting Boosts Popularity

One of the biggest attractions of the game is its setting in Japan. Fans had requested this location for years, and it has added strong interest among players worldwide.

Players can explore a detailed open-world version of Japan with a wide range of vehicles.

Forza Horizon 6 is available on Xbox and PC at a standard price of $69.99.

It is also included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscriptions. The game comes in Standard, Deluxe, and Premium editions, with early access available for Premium buyers.
