Gold prices in Pakistan saw a strong recovery on Monday, bouncing back from recent losses.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of one tola of gold increased by Rs7,800, reaching Rs350,000 in the local market.
The price of 10 grams of gold also rose sharply, going up by Rs6,687 to settle at Rs300,068.
This jump follows a dip in prices on Saturday, when gold had fallen by Rs2,300 to reach Rs342,200 per tola.
The rise in local prices reflects a global upward trend. The international price of gold climbed by $76 in a single day, reaching $3,316 per ounce, including a $20 premium, according to APGJSA data.
Silver prices also increased. The rate per tola rose by Rs43, bringing the total to Rs3,425.
The sudden increase in gold and silver prices is being closely watched by investors and jewelers across the country, especially with ongoing global market uncertainties.
