Gold prices in Pakistan continued to climb on Thursday, in line with gains seen in international markets.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), “the price of gold per tola increased by Rs1,335, settling at Rs356,000.” Likewise, “the price of 10 grams of gold gained Rs1,144, closing at Rs305,212.”
This uptick comes after a modest rise on Wednesday, when gold per tola reached Rs354,665 following an increase of Rs300.
In the global market, gold also experienced a positive trend. “The global price was recorded at $3,343 per ounce, inclusive of a $20 premium, reflecting an increase of $13 during the day,” as per the APGJSA.
Meanwhile, silver prices also surged, with “the price of silver rising by Rs86, reaching Rs3,850.”
Jewellers suggest the price trend may continue upward if international markets remain bullish.
