Gold prices rise by Rs5,500 per tola in Pakistan – check new rates
Gold prices in Pakistan saw a big drop on Thursday, following a similar trend in the international market.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola fell by Rs5,900, bringing it down to Rs359,000 in the local market. The price of 10 grams of gold also dropped by Rs5,058, now standing at Rs307,784.
This drop comes just a day after a rise on Wednesday, when the price per tola had increased by Rs3,700 to reach Rs364,900.
On the global front, gold prices also went down. The international price fell by $61, now standing at $3,363 per ounce (including a $20 premium), as reported by APGJSA.
Silver prices also declined. The price per tola of silver decreased by Rs24, now priced at Rs4,057.
The sharp fall in gold and silver prices is being closely watched by investors, jewelers, and buyers across the country.
