Gold Price Increases by Rs5900 Per Tola in Pakistan
Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a sharp increase on Monday, following a substantial rise in international gold rates. The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reported that the price of 24-karat gold surged by Rs5,900 per tola, reaching Rs403,600, while the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs5,058, now standing at Rs346,021.
Similarly, 10 grams of 22-karat gold saw an increase of Rs4,637, bringing the new price to Rs317,197.
On the global stage, gold prices climbed by $59 per ounce, pushing the international rate to $3,818.
Meanwhile, silver prices also moved upward both domestically and internationally. In Pakistan, the price of 24-karat silver increased by Rs88 per tola, now priced at Rs4,792, while 10 grams rose by Rs76 to Rs4,108. Internationally, silver prices gained $0.88 per ounce, bringing the global price to $46.93.
The rise in precious metal prices reflects ongoing volatility in the global markets, with investors turning to gold and silver as safe-haven assets amid economic uncertainty.
