Gold price increases Rs7,700 per tola in Pakistan - check new rates
Gold prices in Pakistan went up on Tuesday, following a rise in the international market. In the local market, gold per tola reached Rs436,562, rising by Rs7,700 in a single day. 10-gram gold was sold at Rs374,281, increasing by Rs6,601, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Monday, gold prices in Pakistan were stable at Rs428,862 per tola. Internationally, gold prices rose by $77, reaching $4,142 per ounce (with a premium of $20).
Silver prices also went up, with silver per tola increasing by Rs152 to Rs5,422. The international gold market extended gains on Tuesday, hitting its highest level in over a week. This happened despite a strong US dollar, after comments from Federal Reserve officials suggested a possible US interest rate cut in December.
Spot gold rose 0.1% to $4,140.85 per ounce, the highest since November 14, following a 1.8% increase on Monday.
