Gold prices in Pakistan have increased once again. After a Rs 900 rise per tola, the price of 24-carat gold reached a new high of Rs 481,862 per tola.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa, Gems & Jewelers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold went up by Rs 771, now selling at Rs 413,118.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22-carat gold increased by Rs 707, reaching Rs 403,705.

The association explained that the recent rise in gold prices is due to fluctuations in the international market and an increase in global demand for gold.

On the international market, gold prices also went up by $9 per ounce, bringing the global gold price to $4,595 per ounce. These international changes are clearly affecting the local market as well.

Meanwhile, silver prices have also increased. The price of 24-carat silver per tola rose by Rs 180 to Rs 9,075, and the price of 10 grams of 24-carat silver went up by Rs 154, now Rs 7,780.
