Gold prices drop in Pakistan – Jan 15, 2026: Check new rates
January 16, 2026 – Karachi: Gold prices across Pakistan remained steady on Friday, after a recent drop from record highs. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 24-karat gold per tola is selling at Rs 482,462, 24-karat gold per 10 grams at Rs 413,633, and 22-karat gold per 10 grams at Rs 379,177. These rates are unchanged from the previous session.
Meanwhile, silver prices recorded an increase. The price of 24-karat silver per tola rose by Rs 100 to reach Rs 9,525, and 10 grams of silver increased by Rs 86 to Rs 8,166. Experts say this rise follows international trends, as silver is currently trading around $90.50 per ounce.
Gold prices in Pakistan reflect the global market, where gold is traded at approximately $4,601 per ounce. Analysts note that the recent stability and slight decline in precious metal prices are due to a strong U.S. dollar and profit-taking by investors. Despite this, both gold and silver remain at significantly high levels compared to previous years. Experts advise investors to watch global market trends, as fluctuations could affect local rates in the coming weeks.
