Pakistan on Thursday morning launched operation ‘Marg Bar Sarmachar’ against BLA & BLF hideouts in Iran’s Sistan-Baluchestan province, as a repsonse to Iranian strikes against terrorist group Jaish al-Adl group in Panjgur, Balochistan a day ago.

‘Marg Bar’ – is a Persian word means ‘Death’ while ‘Sarmachar’ is a Balochi word means ‘Sacrificer’, so ‘Marg Bar Sarmachar’ literally means ‘Death to (Baloch militants) Sacrificer’.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said, “The precision strikes were carried out using killer drones, rockets, loitering munitions and stand-off weapons.”

“hideouts used by terrorist organisations namely Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF)” were struck in an intelligence-based operation codenamed ‘Marg Bar Sarmachar’.

The ISPR said that “dialogue and cooperation” was deemed prudent in resolving bilateral issues between the two brotherly countries.

Pakistan military response comes a day after Iran carried out airstrikes in Balochistan’s Panjgur area, targeting the terrorist group Jaish al-Adl group.

Iran summoned the Pakistani chargé d’affaires in protest of the ‘attack’ on the southeastern Iranian province. Iran seeks an explanation regarding several explosions in different areas around the city of Saravan in Sistan and Baluchestan province.

Iran confirmed nine people were killed in the attack targeting a village in the city of Saravan, with Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi saying all the dead “were foreign nationals”.

China’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said the Chinese side is willing to play a constructive role in de-escalating the situation if both sides so wish. Share
