In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudri said the Indian statement not only exposes its real face but also vindicates Pakistan’s longstanding stance on India’s negative role in FATF.

The spokesperson said Pakistan has always been highlighting to the international community regarding negative role of India.

He said India had been politicizing the FATF and undermining of its processes.

He noted recent Indian statement just further corroboration of its continued efforts to use an important technical forum for its narrow political designs against Pakistan.

The spokesperson said Pakistan has been exposing India’s duplicitous role to the international community in the past.

He further said that Pakistan will also bring this recent confession by India to the notice of the FATF and broader international community.

Meanwhile, India’s Minister for external affairs S Jaishankar on Sunday said the Narendra Modi government ensured that Pakistan remained on the FSTF’s grey list.

He expressed these views, while addressing a virtual training program on the foreign policy for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders.

Jaishankar further said India has made efforts to have cordial relations with its neighbours.

However, he hastened to add that India is also ensuring that terrorism is treated as a global issue.
