Pakistan pledges stronger partnership with Africa in all spheres.

In a statement issued on Africa Day 2021 today, Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri reiterates Pakistan’s firm commitment.

He vowed to forging stronger partnership with Africa in all spheres of cooperation.

Furthermore, Pakistan reaffirmed its full support to the aspirations of African nations for peace, progress and prosperity.

He said Pakistan extends its heartiest felicitations on “Africa Day 2021,” commemorating the 58th Anniversary of the establishment of the African Union.

The Spokesperson said Pakistan has been making sustained and meaningful contributions towards peace and security efforts in Africa.

He said since 1960s, Pakistani blue helmets, under the UN auspices, have been engaged in peace-keeping and peace-building initiatives across the Continent.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said Pakistan has set its course to re-energize and reinforce its partnership with Africa.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi spearheaded the “Engage Africa” Initiative, That aims at strengthening political and diplomatic linkages, further deepening and broadening mutually beneficial trade and economic ties.

Moreover, it aims at expanding cultural and people-to-people exchanges.

Meanwhile, 5th Round of Bilateral Political Consultations between Pakistan and Tajikistan held in a virtual mode today.

Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood of Pakistan and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Khusrav Noziri co chaired it.

The two sides reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral relations in political, security, economic and trade.

Besides, they also discussed science and technology, education, culture and connectivity as well as cooperation at international and regional fora.
