An update on how Pakistan Army and civilian govt serve nation amid Coronavirus threat.

 

According to the latest reports, Pakistan Army departments have contributed salaries in COVID-19 Relief Fund.

Scientists, Engineers and employees of National Command Authority and Strategic Plans Division have contributed their salaries in COVID-19 Relief Fund.

According to ISPR, to support national efforts in fight against COVID-19, Employees of Special Pay Scale 11 to 14 contributed 3 days salary, 8 to 10 2 days while scale 1 to 7 have contributed their one day pay.

Meanwhile, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Nadeem Raza contributed his one month’s pay in COVID-19 Relief Fund.

Punjab allocates Rs10bn

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Ahmad Khan Buzdar said the government has earmarked ten billion rupees.

Punjab government allocated this for the financial assistance of 2.5m needy families in the province.

Buzdar said this while addressing a press conference in Lahore today (Tuesday).

He further said that each deserving family will be paid four thousand rupees monthly in a transparent and fool proof manner.

He said that financial assistance will be provided by the SMS service and the beneficiary can take money from by merely showing his identity cards.

The Chief Minister ordered to release all the persons who were arrested due to the violation of the section 144.

He said that a grant of fourteen billion rupees has been released for the health department.

Sindh CM orders relief goods supply

On the other hand, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has also issued directive to the concerned authorities.

He directed them to supply relief goods among the needy and daily wager after collecting data from Provincial Disaster Management Authority.

According to the spokesman of CM House, he also directed to collect data of deserving people from NADRA.

Shah asked them to ensure provision of relief to deserving people.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa govt

Adviser to KP Chief Minister on Information Ajmal Wazir also briefed the media on measures regarding Coronavirus.

He said in Peshawar, the provincial government is taking concrete steps to control Corona pandemic in the province with the help of masses.

He he said all necessary facilities including masks, safety kits and other material are being dispatched to relevant departments.

Ajmal Wazir said Chief Minister directed to take strict action against hoarders and profiteers causing price hike in the markets.

He said the results of eight people out of fifteen in Darazinda Quarantine center were tested negative which is a positive sign.

The Adviser said there is no scarcity of flour and other daily use commodities in the province.
