President Alvi visits mosques to see arrangements during Ramazan. 

President Dr. Arif Alvi along with Minister for Religious Affairs Dr. Peer Noor-ul-Haq Qadri visited different mosques in Islamabad last night.

They examined the arrangements made for the namazees during the holy month of Ramazan.

On the occasion, President expressed satisfaction over the arrangements to contain the spread of Coronavirus.

He said all citizens should strictly follow the precautionary measures being communicated by the government.

Earlier, National Coordination Committee on Coronavirus has decided to extend prevailing partial lockdown in the country.

Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar said this, while briefing media persons in this regard.

He further said current partial lockdown in country extended till May 09.

He said the government is working on increasing number of testing laboratories and isolation wards to effectively contain the Coronavirus.

The meeting also decided no load-shedding during Sehar and Aftar in holy month of Ramazan.

Asad Umar said Pakistan Army is supporting the civil administration in its endeavors to combat the Coronavirus.

He terming the Ehsaas Cash Emergency Programme as historic.

The Planning Minister said the government has so far distributed Rs69 billion to 5700 families across the country.

He urged the citizens to adopt precautionary measures and maintain proper social distancing during Ramazan.
