Shab-e-Meraj being celebrated with religious devotion tonight

Shab-e-Meraj (the nigh of ascension) is being celebrated with religious devotion and respect tonight (Monday).
On this night, mosques are illuminated and various events are held across the country, in which scholars and speakers shed light on the event of Meraj Sharif.
Naat Khawani programs are also arranged in connection with the Shab-e-Meraj. Special programs are being aired on all TV channels and radios, while newspapers have published special editions.
On the 27th night of the month of Rajab, Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was granted the privilege of ascension.
Then, He was taken to meet Allah in the heavens, where the Holy Prophet was shown heaven and hell.
He (Peace Be Upon Him) was also met with different Prophets. The greatest gift of Meraj-ul-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him) to the Muslim Ummah is prayer.
