Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s 46th death anniversary being observed today

The 46th death anniversary of former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto is being observed today.
Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was hanged in Rawalpindi on this day in 1979.
In March last year, the Supreme Court ruled that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s trial in the case was not fair.
Today is a public holiday across Sindh to mark the 46th death anniversary of PPP founder chairman Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
President Asif Ali Zardari in a statement issued on the death anniversary of former prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto said that Shaheed Bhutto was a great, courageous leader and a true representative of the people.
Zardari said that Shaheed Bhutto led Pakistan on the path of development, autonomy and people’s welfare. He gave the first unanimous constitution, laid the foundation of Pakistan’s nuclear program and gave an independent and sovereign identity to foreign policy.
