Naqvi highlights Pakistan’s peaceful stance in meeting with Qatari officials

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the Qatari Ministry of Interior in Doha and met with his Qatari counterpart Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. 

The meeting discussed matters of mutual interest and ways to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields. On this occasion, Mohsin Naqvi informed his Qatari counterpart about Pakistan’s position in the context of tensions with India.

Naqvi said that Pakistan has always rejected the policy of aggression, offered India an independent, impartial investigation into the Pahalgam incident, and the world should be made aware of who is truly responsible for the Pahalgam incident.

He said that the baseless accusation is tantamount to ignoring Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war on terrorism.

Moreover, the meeting emphasized joint measures against criminal mafia and cybercrimes, and an agreement was reached on a training exchange program for officers of police and law enforcement agencies.

The Interior Minister further added that we will further strengthen mutual contacts with Qatar to prevent drugs. We want strong relations with Qatar at all levels.

The Qatari Interior Minister assured of further steps to promote cooperation with Pakistan. It was also decided to appoint a focal person to increase cooperation in various sectors.

Qatari Interior Minister Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani said that he attaches special importance to bilateral relations with Pakistan and wants to increase cooperation with Pakistan.

Qatar’s Minister of State for Interior Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al Thani, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Qatar Muhammad Amir, and senior officials of the Qatari Ministry of Interior were also present on the occasion.
