US Sends First Flood Relief Consignment to Pakistan
Saturday, September 6, 2025 – The United States has started sending emergency aid to Pakistan to support people affected by the ongoing floods. The first flight carrying relief goods arrived today through the United States Army Central Command (US ARCENT).
The aid package includes tents, dewatering pumps, and generators. In total, six flights are planned under this relief mission. Each flight will bring essential items to help flood victims rebuild their lives.
At the arrival of the first consignment, the US Charge d’Affairs and the Commander of US ARCENT attended the official handover ceremony. The relief goods were handed to the Pakistan Army, which will transport them to Army Flood Relief Camps. From there, the items will be distributed to people living in the hardest-hit flood areas.
Pakistani officials expressed gratitude to the US Government and Military for their support. They said that such timely help strengthens the bond between both countries during natural disasters. The aid is expected to play an important role in improving living conditions for thousands of displaced families.
This relief effort marks another step in international cooperation, as Pakistan continues to recover from heavy rains and widespread flooding.
