Pak ID Mobile App: Everything you need to know

The Pak ID Mobile App, launched by NADRA, has made it much easier for people in Pakistan to get their identity cards and other official documents. Now, citizens don’t have to visit NADRA offices — everything can be done through a smartphone from the comfort of home.

With this app, users can apply for ID cards, pay fees online, and track their applications in real time.

According to NADRA, over 1.2 million applications were submitted through the app in the last quarter, showing a 45% increase in digital applications. Every day, more than 10,000 cases are now processed through Pak ID, making up around 10% of NADRA’s total work.

The app offers many helpful features, such as:

• Booking appointments for NADRA centers

• Finding the nearest office and checking waiting times

• Uploading required documents

• Keeping digital copies of ID cards and forms

Payments can be made through debit/credit cards, direct debit, EMI, or internet banking, making it a completely cashless system.

The Pak ID app is available in both Urdu and English and can be downloaded for free on Android and iOS. So far, over 10 million people have downloaded it, and it holds an impressive 4.8-star rating on the Google Play Store.

NADRA has also announced that new and advanced features will be added soon, including:

• Biometric verification from home

• AI-based guidance

• Digital identity wallet

• Instant smart notifications

With these updates, the Pak ID app is becoming one of the most useful and trusted digital services in Pakistan.
