Khawaja Asif Condemns Israeli Ceasefire Violations in Gaza

30 November, 2025 16:07

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has criticized Israel for committing “rampant violations” of the Gaza ceasefire, describing the Sharm El Sheikh agreement as increasingly “one-sided” due to ongoing attacks on Palestinians.

In a post on social media platform X, Khawaja Asif noted that 352 Palestinians have been martyred since the ceasefire came into effect on October 10. He highlighted that the agreement, which was intended to stabilize the region, is being undermined by Israel’s actions, raising concerns about the enforcement and intent of the deal.

“Amnesty International has warned that the Israeli genocidal actions didn’t come to end,” the Defence Minister added, calling on the international community, particularly Western governments, to press Israel to adhere to international law.

Khawaja Asif also urged Muslim countries that supported the agreement, including Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar, to reconsider their positions in light of the ongoing violence. “Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has already expressed his concern,” he noted.

The Defence Minister’s remarks underscore Pakistan’s strong stance on the protection of Palestinian civilians and the call for accountability regarding violations of international agreements in Gaza.
