SNGPL Issues Winter Gas Load-Shedding Schedule for Punjab & KP

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced an updated gas load-shedding schedule for domestic consumers in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, specifying designated supply hours during the peak winter months from December to February.

According to the schedule, consumers will receive gas intermittently at three specific times of the day, allowing households to “prepare breakfast and meals” during these periods.

As per the announced timings, gas will be available from 5:30 AM to 8:30 AM, then from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, and finally from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM in the evening.

SNGPL clarified that there will be no load-shedding for the industrial sector, although gas demand typically rises several-fold during winter.

Officials emphasized that “gas is available in the system and there is no shortage; however, gas is expensive, so consumers should use it according to their needs.”

The new schedule aims to ensure equitable distribution of gas across households during peak demand, helping families manage their energy use efficiently throughout the winter season.
