PAC-III Recovers Rs 300 Million From PTI-Era Education Irregularities

Public Accounts Committee Three took major action against financial irregularities in District Education Authorities during the PTI era and recovered Rs 300 million.

The Education Department submitted the recovery report to the Public Accounts Committee III, but the audit records of several financial irregularities were not even submitted to the department.

During the previous government’s tenure, registration fees were not collected from private schools, while financial manipulation was carried out in purchases by District Education Authorities.

Similarly, illegal allowances were given to staff while illegal payments were made in the name of security accounts.
