Abbottabad Woman Doctor Warda Killed Within an Hour of Abduction: DPO

09 December, 2025 16:55

The District Police official Haroon ur Rasheed, Dr. Warda, a medical official at Abbottabad’s DHQ Hospital, was kidnapped outside the building and executed within an hour later. According to authorities, the crime is connected to 67 tolas of gold that she had given to a friend for safety.

The post-mortem examination of Dr. Warda, the killed medical officer, has been finished, and the results will be released shortly, according to the MS DHQ Hospital.

According to the sources, she was living at home with her kids and working as a medical officer at the DHQ Hospital while her husband was overseas. According to the DPO, her body was found four days after she was kidnapped on December 4 outside the DHQ Hospital.

According to the reports, Dr. Warda was concerned about 67 tolas of gold in her possession at the time of her intended flight overseas. She was allegedly convinced to deposit the 67 tolas of gold with a female suspect, described as her acquaintance Rida Jadoon, as an amanat (safekeeping).

Later, police discovered that this gold had already been pawned for Rs. 5 million.

Three suspects have been detained thus far in the murder case: Rida Jadoon, the principal suspect; Nadeem, her employee; and Pervaiz, a relative of Nadeem. Shamraiz, Nadeem’s uncle and another important suspect, is still at large.

Dr. Warda’s body was found in the same village as the three connected suspects. In order to apprehend the fugitive suspect, raids have been carried out at several sites, including Peshawar, according to police sources.

Investigators claim that the suspects initially brought Dr. Warda to a Jinnahabad home that was still being built. At a press conference, DPO Rasheed revealed that she was killed by strangulation within one hour after being kidnapped. Her body was then taken and buried close to Thandiani. According to him, both of the vehicles used in the incident have been confiscated.

Dr. Warda trusted the suspects, especially Rida, and they had her gold in storage. She was killed within an hour of her kidnapping, and on the day of her murder, they forced her to write checks that were later presented to the bank but bounced.

Investigators wanted a 15-day physical remand, but the Anti-Terrorism Court granted a three-day remand for the three detained suspects. Waheed, Rida’s husband, has also been named in the case, according to the police.
