CDF Field Marshal Asim Munir highlights Pakistan’s role as protector of Haramain at Ulema Conference

Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir addressed the National Ulema and Mashaikh Conference and highlighted the strong connection between the State of Madinah and the State of Pakistan. He said that the historic defence agreement between the two holds great importance.

He added that Allah has blessed Pakistan with the honour of being the protector of the Haramain, a privilege not given to any other Muslim country.

Field Marshal Asim Munir said that when a nation abandons knowledge and the pen, chaos and disorder take over. He stated that respect and strength come from hard work and education, not from division.

He also said that terrorism is not Pakistan’s way, but India’s habit, adding that Pakistan fights its enemies openly and bravely.

Field Marshal Asim Munir stressed that in an Islamic state, no one except the state can declare jihad. He said that Pakistan succeeded in the battle of truth with the help of Allah.

He urged religious scholars to keep the nation united and help people develop a broader and more positive vision.

At the end of his speech, he said: “Pakistan Zindabad.”
