Junaid Safdar wedding dates announced – check here

Preparations are underway for the wedding of Junaid Safdar, son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. The family is getting ready for several wedding events planned for mid-January.

According to family sources, the wedding ceremonies will take place on January 16, 17, and 18. The events will be held in Lahore and Jati Umrah, the Sharif family’s residence.

The mehndi ceremony and walima will both be organised at Jati Umrah, keeping the celebrations within a close and private family setting.

Bride and Family Details

Junaid Safdar’s bride-to-be is Shanzay, the granddaughter of senior PML-N leader Sheikh Rohail Asghar. Rohail Asghar said that the marriage was formally fixed about two months ago.

He shared that when his son brought the proposal, he saw it as a happy moment for the family. Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif later invited their family to dinner at his home.

Sheikh Rohail Asghar praised Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz for their warm hospitality, saying his wife was very impressed. He also said that his wife, daughter-in-law, and Maryam Nawaz sat together to discuss and plan the wedding arrangements.

Strong Family Relationship

The two families already had a close relationship before the engagement. Rohail Asghar mentioned that Maryam Nawaz’s daughter Mahnoor and Shanzay are close friends, which further strengthened the bond.

Maryam Nawaz had also visited Rohail Asghar with her elder daughter and son-in-law, Raheel Munir, showing the strong family ties.

To keep things simple, only close relatives have been invited to the wedding events. The families have decided to hold private and intimate gatherings instead of large public celebrations.
