World Bank Approves $700 Million Financing for Pakistan

Islamabad: The World Bank has approved $700 million in financing for Pakistan under the Pakistan Public Resources for Inclusive Development Program. The funding aims to support macroeconomic stability and improve public services across the country.

A total of up to $1.35 billion in financing will be provided, with $600 million allocated to the federal government and $100 million to Sindh. The release of funds will be conditional on achieving reform goals, according to the World Bank.

The project focuses on enhancing service delivery by improving digital data and financial systems. In Sindh, resources for health and education are expected to increase, while reforms aim to boost transparency and public trust.
