Afghan Taliban-Backed Terrorism Targeting Pakistani Citizens: Field Marshal Asim Munir

21 December, 2025 14:26

Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that our innocent citizens and children are being targeted through terrorism with the backing of the Afghan Taliban. 70 percent of the formations of Fitna al-Khawarij that come from Afghanistan include Afghans.

This was stated by Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in his important address to the National Ulema Mashaikh Conference. The conference was held in Islamabad on December 10, 2025, in which scholars and Mashaikhs of all schools of thought from across the country participated enthusiastically.

The Field Marshal spoke in detail about the challenges facing the country, terrorism, national security issues, Pakistan’s emerging role in the international community, war preparations, and the importance of knowledge.

Referring to verses and poems of the Holy Quran, the Field Marshal presented his clear point of view about Pakistan and said that Allah Almighty has bestowed upon Pakistan the honor of being the guardian of the two holy mosques among the Islamic countries. The State of Tayyiba and the State of Pakistan have a deep connection and similarity with each other.

The Field Marshal said that the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Islamic Republic of Saudi Arabia was based on the Holy Word in the blessed month of Ramadan. The reason for the similarity between the two states is that the Lord of the Universe had to make them the custodians of the Two Holy Mosques, and we had to make them the protectors of the Two Holy Mosques. He saw and felt the help of Allah coming in Operation Bunyan al-Marsoos.

The Field Marshal said that in any Islamic state, no one except the state can issue a jihad order or fatwa. Our innocent citizens and children are being targeted through terrorism with the support of the Afghan Taliban. 70 percent of the formations of Fitna al-Kharijite that come from Afghanistan include Afghans.

He said that Afghanistan would have to choose between the Fitna al-Kharijite and Pakistan. Nations that abandoned the intellectual legacy of their ancestors and the power of the pen fell victim to poverty.
