Pakistan’s security forces killed 13 militants during a series of intelligence-based operations conducted across multiple districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on March 6 and 7.

According to official sources, the high-tempo operations were part of the country’s ongoing counterterrorism campaign. The militants belonged to Indian Proxy Fitna Al Khwarij and were neutralized during five separate engagements in different parts of the province.

In Bajaur district, security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation after receiving credible information about the presence of militants. During an intense exchange of fire, troops successfully targeted the militant hideout, resulting in the killing of five militants.

In two other encounters in Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan districts, security personnel engaged armed militants and eliminated three members of the same group.

Meanwhile, additional clashes occurred in Khyber and South Waziristan districts, where security forces neutralized five more militants during separate engagements.

Authorities confirmed that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants, who were reportedly involved in multiple terrorist activities in the region.

Officials also noted that the operations are being carried out as Pakistan continues to address emerging security challenges along its border with Afghanistan.

The security forces reiterated their determination to safeguard the country’s borders and maintain peace. Sanitization operations are currently underway in the affected areas to eliminate any remaining militants as part of the ongoing counterterrorism campaign under the vision “Azm e Istehkam.”
