Iran Says Pakistan Is Priority for Next Round of US Talks

Islamabad: Iranian officials say that Pakistan is our priority if there is a second round of talks with the United States.

News is circulating rapidly that another round of talks between the US and Iran will soon be held in Islamabad.

In such a situation, Iranian officials, while talking to Pakistani media, said that we are ready for negotiations; the other side is unknown.

Iranian officials said that if there is a second round of talks, Pakistan is our priority.

It should be noted that the British news agency Reuters, citing sources, has reported that delegations from the United States and Iran may return to Islamabad this week for peace talks.

On the other hand, an official at the Iranian embassy in Pakistan also told Reuters that the next round of US-Iran talks could take place this week or early next week.

Earlier, the US news agency quoted two Pakistani officials as saying that Pakistan had offered to host the second round of talks between the US and Iran.

The American news agency said that talks between Iran and the United States could take place in Islamabad on Thursday.
