On 19 April 2026, Pakistan’s Security Forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation in Bannu District after receiving credible reports about the presence of khwarij linked to Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Khwarij.
During the operation, security forces engaged the terrorists in an intense exchange of fire. As a result, two dangerous khwarij were sent to hell, including notorious Kharji ring leader Waheedullah alias Muktiar and a suicide bomber.
A suicide jacket, weapons, and a large quantity of ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists, preventing a major planned act of terrorism and saving countless innocent lives.
Kharji ring leader Waheedullah was among the most wanted terrorists due to his direct involvement in multiple terrorist attacks targeting security forces personnel and innocent civilians across Pakistan.
He was also identified as the main handler of the suicide bomber involved in the Bannu District attack on 21 February 2026, which resulted in the shahadat of Lieutenant Colonel Gul Faraz Shaheed.
This successful operation has avenged that cowardly terrorist attack and brought the main perpetrator to justice. The brave and timely action of Pakistan’s Security Forces once again proved their commitment to protecting the nation from foreign-sponsored terrorism.
A sanitization operation is still ongoing in the area to eliminate any remaining Indian-sponsored kharji terrorists hiding nearby.
Under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, Pakistan’s Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies remain fully committed to continuing the relentless counter-terrorism campaign across the country.
Pakistan stands firm in its resolve to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism and defeat every enemy working against the peace, stability, and sovereignty of the nation.
