Islamabad traffic update: Multiple roads closed today

ISLAMABAD: The cops have introduced a special traffic plan to manage roads during the visit of foreign delegations. Tight security is in place as possible talks between the United States and Iran may take place in the city.

Many important roads have been closed, and new routes have been arranged for the public. These changes started on April 19 and will continue until further notice.

Roads Affected

Expressway Korral to Zero Point – Shut. Srinagar Highway might stop traffic here and there. Red Zone and around it? No cars allowed, period.

People living in G-5, G-6, G-7, F-6, and F-7 sectors are advised to use Margalla Road and Ninth Avenue for travel to and from Rawalpindi. Traffic from Faisal Avenue and Zero Point is being diverted toward Ninth Avenue.

Islamabad Traffic Update Today As Several Roads Closed

From Faisal Avenue or Zero Point – Get over to Ninth Avenue.

Zero Point to Korral Chowk – Go Srinagar Highway, Stadium Road, Murree Road, Ninth Avenue, or Rawal Road.

Park Road or Club Road blocked – Loop through Tramri Chowk.

Bara Kahu folks: Hit Kurang Road, Bani Gala, or Lehtrar Road.

Rawalpindi Saddar area? Use Colonel Sher Khan Road, Fakir Aipi Road, or Ninth Avenue.

Peshawar-Lahore trips: Motorway via Taxila, Chakri Interchange, Chak Beli Road to Rawat GT Road, same going back.

They told drivers and bus guys to steer clear of the city right now so nobody gets stuck.
