NADRA may add additional fees on CNICs, B-Forms – July 2026

The National Database and Registration Authority has hinted that it may introduce extra fees or fines for people who delay renewing their identity cards or getting B-Forms. This change could come after the upcoming budget for the fiscal year 2026-27.

The authority has recently advised citizens to renew their expired Computerized National Identity Card on time. It also asked parents to convert their children’s B-Forms into Smart ID Cards without delay.

In its official message, NADRA said that people should renew their ID cards and get B-Forms for their children before June 30, 2026, to avoid possible extra charges in the future.

Current CNIC Renewal Fees

NADRA has divided its services into three categories: Normal, Urgent, and Executive.

• Normal: PKR 400 – processing time 15 days
• Urgent: PKR 1,150 – processing time 12 days
• Executive: PKR 2,150 – processing time 6 days

Smart NIC Renewal Fees

For Smart National Identity Card, the fee structure is:

• Normal: PKR 750 – processing time 31 days
• Urgent: PKR 1,500 – processing time 15 days
• Executive: PKR 2,500 – processing time 9 days

NADRA has urged everyone to complete their ID-related work on time to avoid any inconvenience or extra cost later.
