Audio Leak Sparks Allegations of Links Between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ruling Party and Militants

A newly surfaced audio leak has triggered serious political controversy in Pakistan after allegedly exposing connections between militants and the ruling political party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

According to the leaked conversation, two militant commanders identified as “Badshah,” reportedly based in Afghanistan, and “Rocketi,” allegedly operating in South Waziristan, were heard discussing a provincial lawmaker, MPA Asif Mehsud.

The audio allegedly reveals that Rocketi stopped and searched the lawmaker and initially issued an extortion notice. However, during the conversation, Badshah reportedly intervened and instructed Rocketi not to abduct or harm the MPA, claiming he belonged to the ruling political party in KP and should be released immediately.

The leaked recording further suggests that an apology was also ordered after the search. Rocketi allegedly confirmed compliance with the instructions and stated that no harm had been caused to the politician.

Political analysts say the audio leak may intensify debate regarding alleged political support networks and the growing influence of militant groups in the region. Critics claim the incident raises questions about the relationship between militant elements and political actors in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The development has sparked widespread discussion on social media, with demands for a transparent investigation into the authenticity of the leaked audio and the allegations surrounding it.
