DG ISPR meets vice chancellors in Security Workshop 2026
RAWALPINDI: The National Security and Strategic Leadership Workshop 2026 featured a special session between the Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) and vice chancellors, senior faculty members, and academic leaders from across Pakistan.
The workshop brought together more than 200 universities, including vice chancellors, deans, registrars, and senior professors. Participants from cities such as Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Muzaffarabad, Multan, and Quetta also joined the session online.
During the workshop, DG ISPR discussed important issues related to Pakistan’s internal situation, especially national security challenges, with the participants.
Academic leaders expressed strong appreciation for the role of the Pakistan Army in ensuring the country’s defense, stability, and security. They said the armed forces played a significant and proud role in protecting the nation.
Participants also stated that Pakistan achieved a major success in “Marka-e-Haq” due to the efforts of the armed forces. They added that they fully trust that the country’s defense is in safe and capable hands.
They further said that not only people in Azad Kashmir but also those in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir have respect and admiration for the Pakistan Army.
The participants highlighted that they received clear guidance on how to protect students from negative propaganda and how to share accurate information in educational institutions.
They were also briefed on national security, information warfare, and the challenges facing the country today.
According to the participants, building a strong connection between the armed forces and academia is very important in the current times.
At the end of the workshop, attendees appreciated ISPR’s initiative of bringing vice chancellors and academic leaders together on a single platform.
