Punjab Government Imposes Section 144 Across Province for Eid-ul-Adha Cleanliness, Safety and Law & Order
To ensure cleanliness, maintain peace and order, and provide better facilities for citizens, the Punjab Government has imposed Section 144 across the province.
The restriction will remain in place for one week, effective from May 27 (the first day of Eid) until June 2.
Under Section 144, the provincial administration has banned the burning of animal heads, trotters, and waste in public places throughout the designated period.
Additionally, swimming in rivers, canals, lakes, and dams has been strictly prohibited. The government has also banned the buying and selling of sacrificial animals outside officially designated cattle markets (Maweshi Mandis) across Punjab.
The provincial authorities have urged citizens to act responsibly during the festive period, highlighting the importance of maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental protection.
Officials have further appealed for public cooperation to ensure a smooth, safe, and well-managed Eid-ul-Adha celebration across the province.
