PIA completes pre-Hajj 2026 operation successfully
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has successfully completed its pre-Hajj 2026 flight operation, according to the airline spokesperson.
The airline finished the operation on May 21, transporting more than 53,000 Hajj pilgrims to the holy cities through around 210 flights this year.
Officials said the airline achieved a 97% success rate in its pre-Hajj flights, while on-time departures also exceeded the set target by 7%.
Post-Hajj Operation Scheduled
The spokesperson added that the post-Hajj operation will start from May 30 and continue until June 30. During this period, pilgrims will be brought back to Pakistan after completing their Hajj rituals.
Support for Pilgrims in Saudi Arabia
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, most welfare staff have already been deployed in Saudi Arabia to assist pilgrims.
This includes over 1,500 staff members such as Hajj assistants, technical teams, and medical workers. In addition, “Haram Guides” have helped more than 20,000 pilgrims with navigation and support around the Grand Mosque.
Transport and Facilities
The shuttle bus fleet in Makkah has been increased to 469 buses to provide round-the-clock transport services for nearly 98,823 pilgrims.
Officials said transport operations are running smoothly across key sectors in Makkah, ensuring better movement and services for all pilgrims.
