Pakistan army wins top position at international military drill competition in UK

The Pakistan Army team from the Pakistan Military Academy has achieved first position at the International Pacesticking Competition 2026 held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

A nine-member team, led by Major Haider Gulzar, participated in the competition after arriving in the UK on June 5, 2026.

A total of 16 international military teams took part in the event. The Pakistan team performed strongly and won multiple awards, including the Overall Team Trophy, Best Pace Sticking Award, and Best Driver Award.

The ISPR said the achievement reflects the high level of training, discipline, and professionalism within the Pakistan Armed Forces. It added that the victory highlights Pakistan’s consistent performance in international military drill competitions.

Officials said the success at Sandhurst demonstrates the team’s coordination, preparation, and strong commitment, allowing them to outperform other participating teams in a highly competitive environment.

The win has been described as a proud moment that strengthens Pakistan’s image on international military platforms.
