Bilawal Bhutto Raises Concerns Over Kashmir Situation, India-Israel Nexus and Regional Security Issues
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressed the media in Islamabad, expressing concern over the situation in Kashmir and emphasizing the need for political solutions to ongoing regional issues.
He stated:
“Kashmir situation is very concerning.”
Bilawal added that the situation developing in Kashmir was unexpected and not in line with what should be happening in the region. He stressed that all public grievances and the concerns of protest groups are well known and should be addressed through dialogue and political engagement.
He further said:
“Government’s state policy is clear.”
The PPP chairman reiterated that Pakistan’s official stance on Kashmir remains consistent and well-defined. He emphasized that all political issues must be resolved through democratic and constitutional means rather than confrontation.
Bilawal also clarified that his party has never supported the postponement of elections in Azad Kashmir. He said the PPP believes in the electoral process and democratic continuity.
Comments on Kulbhushan Jadhav Case
Referring to Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav, Bilawal said:
“He did not come to Pakistan for a picnic; he came for terrorism.”
He alleged that Jadhav entered Pakistan with the intention of supporting terrorist activities and separatist groups in Balochistan. He claimed that the objectives of Jadhav were already clear and widely known.
Bilawal also repeated concerns about external interference in Pakistan, stating that hostile forces have attempted to destabilize the country through proxy elements operating in sensitive regions.
India-Israel Nexus Allegations
The PPP chairman warned about what he described as an India-Israel nexus working against Pakistan’s interests. He said:
“The India-Israel nexus is harming Pakistan.”
He further stated that Pakistan must expose such alliances and remain vigilant against conspiracies aimed at destabilizing the country.
According to Bilawal, Balochistan is often targeted due to its strategic importance and vulnerability. He alleged that external forces attempt to exploit regional tensions for political and security gains.
Call for Political Solutions
Bilawal reiterated that all issues, including those in Kashmir and other sensitive regions, should be resolved through peaceful political dialogue. He stressed that confrontation and instability would only worsen the situation.
He concluded by emphasizing the importance of unity, political stability, and adherence to democratic processes in addressing both domestic and regional challenges.
