Libya’s Lt Gen Saddam Khalifa Haftar Visits GHQ Rawalpindi, Meets Field Marshal Asim Munir

Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, made an official visit to General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi, where he held a high-level meeting with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI(M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF) of Pakistan.

On his arrival at GHQ, Lieutenant General Haftar was accorded a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out tri-services contingent, underscoring the significance of the bilateral relationship and the high regard in which the visiting dignitary was received.

The meeting served as a platform for wide-ranging discussions covering matters of mutual interest, regional security dynamics, and defence cooperation.
