Sindh Government Revises Salary Schedule, Employees to Receive Payments Earlier Every Month

The Government of Sindh has announced a revised schedule for the payment of salaries and pensions for government employees and retired staff, aiming to ensure timely disbursement before the start of each month.

According to an official notification issued by the Accountant General Sindh (AG Sindh), monthly salaries for government employees will now be paid on the 25th of every month instead of the 1st.

The notification further states:

“Pension payments for retired employees will be transferred on the 26th of each month.”

In addition, supplementary and additional payments will be processed on the 29th of every month.

The revised schedule also includes provisions for other financial disbursements. According to the notification, payments related to the General Provident Fund (GP Fund) and other pending dues will be processed between the 6th and 16th of each month, with an additional processing date set for the 20th.

Officials from the Accountant General Sindh office have directed all relevant government departments to ensure timely submission of payroll and financial documents. This step is aimed at preventing delays and ensuring smooth and uninterrupted fund transfers.

Authorities stated that under the new arrangement, employees and pensioners will receive their payments before the start of each new month, which is expected to provide financial relief amid rising inflation.

The government believes that this updated payment system will improve financial planning for employees and ensure greater efficiency in public sector salary management.
