PM Shehbaz Sharif Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthening Pakistan Navy at Passing Out Ceremony

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the Passing Out Ceremony of the Pakistan Naval Academy, congratulating the graduating cadets on successfully completing their training. He expressed delight at the participation of cadets from friendly countries, saying their presence reflected Pakistan’s strong ties with its international partners.

The Prime Minister said the reported agreement between Iran and the United States was a matter of significance for Pakistan, expressing hope that it would contribute to regional peace and stability. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to further strengthening the Pakistan Navy by enhancing its operational capabilities and resources.

Highlighting the armed forces’ professionalism, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the Pakistan Navy for its outstanding role during Marka-e-Haq. He commended the naval force for its dedication, preparedness, and contribution to safeguarding the country’s maritime interests and national security.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan was recognized globally as a proponent of peace and described the reported agreement between Iran and the United States as a matter of pride for Pakistan. He added that Pakistan-Iran relations would be further strengthened following the recent visit of the Iranian President. Stressing the government’s commitment to national defence, he said efforts were underway to further strengthen the Pakistan Navy and praised its outstanding role during Marka-e-Haq.

Referring to the country’s security challenges, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan remained determined to eliminate terrorism in all its forms despite facing both internal and external threats. He also paid special tribute to Field Marshal Asim Munir, stating that the military leadership had worked tirelessly in support of efforts that contributed to the reported US-Iran agreement.
