Wife of martyred Navy officer receives commission in Pakistan Navy

Elvira Hamza, the brave wife of martyred Pakistan Navy officer Lieutenant Commander Hamza Abid Shaheed, has joined the Pakistan Navy as a commissioned officer.

She turned her grief into strength after the martyrdom of her husband and decided to serve in the same institution.

Elvira Hamza joined the Pakistan Navy’s Information Technology branch after completing her training and also received the Commandant Gold Medal for her performance.

She said that the martyrdom of her husband inspired her to join the Pakistan Navy.

She added that wearing the same uniform her husband once wore is a matter of great pride for her and her daughter.

Elvira Hamza said her time at the Pakistan Naval Academy was a memorable experience.

She also encouraged other women in Pakistan to join the armed forces, saying that if she can do it as a mother, others can also achieve it.

Her achievement is being seen as an inspiring example for women across the country.
