NDMA Forecasts Monsoon Spell Across Pakistan from July 1–6

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has forecast a new spell of monsoon rains across multiple parts of the country from July 1 to July 6. Authorities have warned that several regions may experience thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rainfall during this period.
According to the advisory, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Balochistan are likely to receive rain with thunder and lightning. Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Lahore, Narowal, Gujrat, Jhelum, Chakwal, and Attock are also expected to be affected by the weather system.
NDMA further stated that southern Punjab areas including Multan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Muzaffargarh, and Dera Ghazi Khan may experience rainfall between July 3 and July 5. The authority has urged relevant departments to remain alert for possible urban flooding and other weather-related disruptions.
