Finance Minister Hails FBR’s Historic Revenue Target Achievement

Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has praised the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for achieving its revenue target, describing the milestone as a historic accomplishment. He said such a target had never before been met within such a short period, crediting the success to the dedication and hard work of FBR officials.

Addressing FBR personnel, Aurangzeb said the achievement would not have been possible without their collective efforts. He described the record performance as the result of teamwork, continuous reforms, and the institution’s tireless commitment to improving tax administration and revenue collection.

The finance minister said the stronger revenue performance had helped reduce the fiscal deficit and further strengthen Pakistan’s economic foundations. He also noted that the FBR disbursed tax refunds worth Rs599 billion during the fiscal year, highlighting the government’s commitment to facilitating businesses while maintaining fiscal discipline.
