India Using Anti-Pakistan Narrative to Divert Attention From Domestic Failures; Security Sources

03 July, 2026 10:32

A high-level security official, during an important meeting with media influencers, said India was actively working to destabilise the region in an attempt to divert attention from its mounting internal crises, particularly by targeting Pakistan through hostile narratives and covert strategies.

According to the official, India’s leadership has consistently refused to accept ground realities and instead continues to pursue aggressive policies aimed at portraying itself as a regional power while masking its deepening domestic failures.

The briefing described India as a state increasingly consumed by intolerance, religious extremism, and majoritarian politics, with its institutions allegedly being shaped by a hardline Hindutva ideology.

The official said India’s claim of being the world’s largest democracy stood in sharp contrast to the realities on the ground, where dissent is suppressed, press freedom is tightly controlled, and minorities live under growing fear and discrimination.

He noted that the rise of religious fanaticism and intolerance had badly damaged India’s secular image and exposed serious cracks within its political and social structure.

During the meeting, the official said the so-called dream of “Akhand Bharat” reflected dangerous expansionist ambitions and an increasingly radical worldview. He warned that such thinking was not only destabilising India internally but also threatening peace across South Asia. The briefing further stated that India’s military and political machinery had become deeply influenced by the BJP’s extremist ideological agenda, creating an environment where confrontation and propaganda are being prioritised over peace and regional cooperation.

The situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir also came under detailed discussion. The official described the territory as one of the most heavily militarised zones in the world, where millions of Kashmiris continue to live under siege-like conditions. He said the people of occupied Kashmir remain trapped in an environment of fear, surveillance, and military control, with basic freedoms severely restricted and political voices systematically silenced.

The official also accused India of using false flag operations and anti-Pakistan propaganda to hide its internal failures and to divert global attention from freedom movements, minority persecution, and state repression within its own borders. He said New Delhi repeatedly attempts to blame Pakistan for unrest in order to avoid accountability for its own actions and to maintain a misleading international narrative.

Referring to the treatment of minorities, the official said India’s Muslims and other religious communities were facing increasing hostility under the dominance of Hindutva ideology. He warned that the level of discrimination, exclusion, and violence against minorities could push India toward a far more dangerous internal crisis in the years ahead. According to the official, the widening social divide and the denial of basic rights to vulnerable communities have turned India into what he described as a deeply polarised and increasingly authoritarian state.

The briefing further stated that India views a strong, stable, and prosperous Pakistan as a threat to its hegemonic ambitions in the region. The official said this was one of the key reasons Indian media and political circles remain obsessed with targeting Pakistan and its armed forces through sustained disinformation campaigns and hostile rhetoric.

He maintained that the people and state institutions of Pakistan have never been intimidated by India’s pressure tactics and would continue to resist any attempt to undermine the country’s stability, sovereignty, or national unity. The meeting concluded with the message that Pakistan remains committed to defending its interests and exposing what the official described as India’s dangerous role in fuelling instability, repression, and division across the region.
